Why You Shouldn't Let A Door Knocking Roofer On Your Roof

  • March 6, 2019

Colorado Springs has been bombarded with three hailstorms so far in May, 2018.  This means that there may be a flood of dishonest roofers knocking on doors in your neighborhood.  They are here trying to take advantage of the situation.  Perhaps, even trying to scam you out of your insurance money.  It's important to know why you shouldn't let a door knocker on your roof.

According to the Colorado State Attorney General, as well as many sheriff's departments, Coloradans are warned to not let anyone in or on your house that knock on your door.

This only makes sense when you consider that the "door-knockers" are oftentimes fly-by-night companies that have blown into town with the storm.  They don't have any local contacts who would refer business to them.  So the best and fastest way for them to get your business, and your money is to canvass the neighborhoods.

Remember, not every roofer who knocks on your door will rip you off  However, every roofer who will rip you off will knock on your door.

Take a walk with us for a few minutes and find out the reasons why you should only consider hiring roofers who have been referred to you.  You should only work with those who you have invited to your home to inspect your roof, and work with your insurance company.
