Paying Your Insurance Deductible For Your New Roof

You may be wondering about paying your insurance deductible, and who collects that money.

Many people get  confused about this when it's time the pay the contractor.  Often times, the homeowners think they already paid the deductible to the insurance company.  In reality, though, you don't pay the deductible to your insurance company.  Rather, they deduct it from the funds that come from the claim payment.  The deductible is your "out of pocket" obligation, which your insurance company expects you to pay to your roofer.
